累透透游新加坡-Day 1（聚会日）

我真的很糟糕，去年8月去新加坡的游记现在才要开始写，如果不是这个2012圣诞节要去柔佛和新加坡度过，我可能还提不起劲来写游记吧。还有好多好多游记在等着我呢，离现在最久的有沙巴游记，很想写，可是记忆越来越模糊了，希望真的可以完成吧，因为那是我第一次和中学朋友一起去旅行。

言归正传，这个新加坡之旅真的是累死我们了。原因是我们并没有订新加坡的酒店，反而是住在Darling姐姐柔佛的家，每天一早搭的士和巴士过关卡，到了新加坡后也是全程乘搭交通工具，不然就走路，晚上又排队等巴士从新加坡回柔佛，每天这样日出晚归的游了新加坡5天。

每天七早八早醒，然后搭的士去关卡，再搭巴士去新加坡~ 累是累，可是可以省下在新加坡的一大笔住宿费

肥李海鲜餐馆 @ Melaka Town

肥李海鲜餐馆是一间我们在马六甲会时常光顾的煮炒店。每次光顾，都是为了它家的大螃蟹而来的。之前也曾经Blog过它了，这次老爸老妈特地南下吉隆坡来参加他们歌唱老师的结婚晚宴，由于他们也好久没去马六甲了，我就带他们来个马六甲美食旅，到处吃吃喝喝。

这次的马六甲之旅他们都不愿去走一些旅游胜地，只志在吃些好料，所以我们从早吃到晚，肚子没有一份钟挨过饿，肚皮快撑胀死了。早上带他们去吃会吃上瘾的辣死你妈后，就去Darling 家坐坐，然后就 Check in Hotel 顺便冲凉，接着就去牛顿饮食中心吃有猪油渣的极品Popiah，顺便逛逛 Dataran Pahlawan，晚餐就带他们来品尝一下比较不一样风味的螃蟹。这次他们和Durian Chendol无缘分，是他们的可惜，下一次再来马六甲时都不懂是几时的事咯！

Kaffa @ Straits Quay

On a random night, brother brought just me and mummy go Straits Quay for a walk and dinner. At this time, daddy and brother's girl friend were not following, not really remember why. After a short walk around, we finally set our dinner place at Kaffa, a restaurant with fusion of Asian and Western delight. We chose here because of the wide menu choices as well as the restaurant was packed at that hour too, thus we assumed the food would not go too bad.

Nasi Kandar Beratur @ Masjid Kapitan Keling

Darling is always crazy for Nasi Kandar, he just loves anything related with curry. When we were back for Raya holiday in Penang, he always wanted to try Nasi Kandar Beratur which is located next to Masjid Kapitan Keling after reading few food blogs review. As the name suggested, in order to eat Nasi Kandar Beratur, you have to beratur (queue)!

We had been here once but they were closed during the Raya break, came again as Darling was so eagerly to eat it, but this time was accompanied with big rain. We thought there would be less crowd in this bad weather, but still we need to queue for around 1 hour to get our turn.

The restaurant has its name Liyaqat Ali, but it is more famously known as Nasi Kandar Beratur

End Of The World Seafood @ Teluk Bahang

After our super tiring trekking at Penang National Park, it was almost 3pm, and yet we still not had our lunch. Though I still left some mui-choy dumplings in my backpack but people want something better and proper. Dad suggested to go for seafood as Teluk Bahang has been famous for nice and cheap seafood since I was small.  We came to End of the World, a restaurant we used to visit quite frequent in the past whenever we thought of seafood, but no idea since when we have forgotten it.

Muka Head Lighthouse, Penang National Park

On my past Raya holiday, I and darling were heading back to Penang for our one week holiday. Nothing much to do during our holiday except enjoying good food and visiting friends and relatives. Since I was in guilt for not bringing him walk around in this beautiful pearl of orient, while darling doesn't like heritage and museum, so I decided to go somewhere which can enjoy the nature, at the same time exercising. Yeah we need exercise seriously, as a result of eating too much, we now have flabby body and big belly! This time I suggest to Penang National Park because parents joined along, so I wanna make it a picnic family trip rather than routinely hiking. 

I have actually been to the Penang national park few years ago, but hiking to Pantai Kerachut, not a really challenging one compared to this time. Sorry to mummy for inviting her to come along since she has serious knee pain, but she seemed enjoy with this little family trip. I am actually quite upset for can't accompanying them always, glad that this time they did join us, I really love family outing, too bad brother and sister not joining us. 

We waked at 7.30am, after grooming we departed to nearby Dim Sum restaurant to pack some food for picnic. Reached national park located at Teluk Bahang at 9.00am. Today our target was climb to Muka Head light house, the final point of the trail. Usually people start hiking from the starting point (Visitor center) to Muka Head, then travel back by boat. This time I chose an opposite way, which is travel to Monkey Beach by boat, then hike to Muka Head and continue back to the starting point. The reason was trail from visitor center to monkey beach is long and tiring, and trail to Muka Head was even harsh. If we hike from starting point to Monkey beach, I worry that we will get exhausted and give up to go Muka Head. So when we reached the national park, we first sought for boat service to bring us go Monkey beach. 

We first saw 2 stalls promoting tour and boat services, they charged us RM80 per way per boat, I was shocked with the price as it is really expensive and the journey actually is very short only.

Ferringhi Garden @ Batu Ferringhi, Penang

This day, I had a sudden happy mood and would love to treat my mum for a better pleasant meal without thinking much on prices. I knew a fancy place for western dining in Batu Ferringhi since last year when my brother mentioned it. I have waited long to go for a try, yet no chance until now. This day, we were a bit earlier for dinner just to view the different environment between day and night.

When we first stepped into the place, we were "woah!" and thought how "forestal" is this place. Ferringhi Garden has a spacious private car park behind the restaurant, which need to turn into a small road beside the shop row. Ferringhi Garden is well decorated with natural plants and we can see how diligent the owner manage this restaurant.

My 24th Birthday

Happy belated birthday to myself! This is an outdated post as my birthday was almost a week ago. Really should smack myself for laziness, I just don't feel to do anything these days, lazy to blog, lazy to do work, lazy to hang out even, I just love to stay at home and play computer game for whole day. Please God, help me to stop addicting to those games, I have tonnes of work to be loaded.

Although birthday seems not really that important as growing older, I am still happy those important persons come celebrate for me. Thanks Darling, Mum and Dad for giving me such a wonderful moment, and of course Uncle Lim for giving us free room in Genting. Thanks again for wishes from buddies, not to forget to specially mention about Azi, really surprised when get to know she still remember my birthday and her touching post. She is an amazing girl and because of she, I got many impressive and enjoyable memories in my matriculation life.

Last weekend parents come to KL and we direct drove up to Genting after fetching them. This time my Genting trip is a gamble trip because all my companions are addicted gamblers. Their spirit had successfully influenced me and I made myself have quite a lot of fun in casino. Since we knew Chin Swee temple had a big change after many years parents' visit, so we dropped by there a while. Also, to let my parents pray hard hard before enter casino for tough battleship.

龙尾东海鱼翅酒家 Tong Hoi Seafood @ Paya Terubong

星期日是我的家庭日，每个家庭成员都会在这天一起出去吃顿饭。这个传统由我很小的时候就开始了，以前就只有我们一家5口，过后，就越来越多成员加入了，包括姐夫、两个侄女还有我哥的女朋友。以后，还会多了个侄儿加入这聚餐呢~

这天，我们就到住家附近（槟城龙尾区）的酒家吃吃煮炒，这间餐厅是在一个会所里面的，和CRC差不多一样的概念~ 这间会所叫Long Pine Country Club, 听说这间会所除了普通的基本设施外（游泳池、游戏房、Sauna & Jacuzzi, etc. )，还有住宿配套的服务，Air Itam区是很少有酒店的，在这里开一间挺不错的嘛~

东海酒家就是一间算比较高档的煮炒餐厅，没有特定的餐牌，想吃什么就问“酒楼部长”，不然就由她来介绍~ 

先送上两碟解馋的花生（一碟RM2 ）

上菜啦~ 干煎肉碎豆腐（RM16)，这道真的好吃呢，豆腐外脆内嫩，很滑呀，而且也很下饭！

拍打双央（RM20），芥兰叶子拿去油炸，而菜梗部分就清炒，我喜欢叶子的部分，菜梗有点苦味~ 不过总的来说是满好吃的~

2支酿鸡翅（RM12），内陷有猪肉和蔬菜，鸡翅肉很嫩，外皮又炸得脆脆的，很不错呢~ 

东波肉排（RM50），味道中规中矩，只是我觉得肉的肥油部分太多了，有点腻咯~ 

搭配东波肉的馒头，软香又带甜的，搭配肉汁真好吃呀！

东炎蒸红狮（900g-RM54），新鲜的深海鱼，怎样煮都好吃~ 酱汁酸酸咸咸的，真开胃

土耳其瑰宝之旅。土币和手信篇

土耳其游记先搁着，照片拍得太多了，需要一段长时间来整理照片。现在就先分享我在土耳其买的手信~ 江山易改本性难移，爱购物的我去到土耳其也毫不手软，买了一大堆东西回来，还好还没买到破产，都有在预算之内。

这次我共换了USD250去土耳其里拉(Turkish Lira)，再带了50欧元去~ 在土耳其，购物用的货币多数是里拉和美金，欧元比较少，可是在酒店或某些观光客会到的商店就会有收欧元。在土耳其没啥花费，因为吃住已经算在团费里了，花的钱全部是在购买手信上，和一些团不包的小吃（以后再在游记叙写）~ 我的250美金换成的里拉全败完了（一点都不剩，去到机场最后一分钟把它败完），欧元也用掉了30块~ 美金就用掉了18块（在酒店买到贵的东西，10块妈咪买手链，另外8块我买到4个很贵的锁匙圈，过后再Grand Bazaar看到类似的才1里拉，气死！发誓以后不再酒店买东西了！）

到土耳其，机场和酒店都有得换钱，马币在那边是没得换的，所以要先把马币换成欧元或美金，再到那边的机场或酒店换钱~ Grand Bazaar 和 Istanbul 普罗热闹区都会有Money Changer。里拉钱币有5块，10块，20块，50块，100块和200块（我所看到的）~ 硬币则有两种而已：50kurus（类似我们的50cents）和1里拉。

毕业典礼记

上个星期是我的学士毕业典礼，当时的心情是紧张又兴奋的。毕竟辛苦读了这样多年的书，今天终于修成正果，戴上四方帽，领取珍贵的文凭，有一种苦尽甘来的感觉~


因为这个毕业典礼，这整个星期我还真的没得睡好觉。毕业典礼在星期三，爸妈星期日就到KL了。他们搭了好迟的巴士才到，带他们宵夜了后，不是很能够睡得着~ 第二天一早老爸又要去Seminar，被迫7am就醒来~ 过后又赶去朋友彦冰的毕业典礼，在炎炎夏日下曝晒了几个小时后又赶去和教授开会，过后又赶回家整理行李去表姐家过夜！星期二又陪两老走街一整天，累死了啦，结果当晚不懂是太紧张还是太吵了，又失眠，还好毕业典礼当天没有睡迟，准时到达！


其实，毕业典礼只是一个形式上的东西，我不会特别在意这个仪式，也不是很喜欢，为啥呢？因为要非常早起！天啊，我5am就得起身准备了！一早到学校准备戴帽子，整理整理和上厕所几次。是啊，最近我都有个毛病，就是要准备睡觉时或要做某件重要事件时，都会觉得很容易急尿，就算刚放完，过了几分钟又会有这种心理作用，还真的让我很懊恼呢。


Oops，不小心弄湿了毕业袍，害到这第一张照片有了瑕疵，还好早到，来得及干~ UPM的毕业袍不赖吧？我本身觉得蛮漂亮的这种猪肝红~ 只不过橙色的Hood我就不是那么喜欢了~ 没办法啊，工程系的全部都得戴上橙色的Hood~ 有一点小小的遗憾~ 因为其他金色和银色的Hood搭配猪肝红的袍会更亮丽更好看！

老豆牛一之吃盆菜咯~ @ 仙景楼

上个星期，拿了两天假期，为的就是要回家乡和老豆庆生！哦，我好想念我那在槟城的家噢~ 当然咯，回去当王帝的生活有谁不想啊？每天睡到自然醒，睡醒又有美味食物等着我，还有好多好多的电视节目向我挥手，当然啦，还有我那最亲最爱的家人陪伴！虽然只是短短的4天假期，但是每天都是过得很充实，好充实的大吃大喝，好充实的和家人聚聚，好充实的做运动！对啊，一个人在KL每次都提不起劲来做运动，所以回到老家我最喜欢的就是做运动！4天假期我就和老豆一起爬山了2天，越来越享受和老豆爬山了，可以聊天又可以听他唱歌~ 和他爬山还有一个好处就是他会帮我赶狗，哈哈！

其实越长大，我就会越来越喜欢粘爸爸妈妈，只要有机会，我都会想要回家聚一聚。可是啊，怎么槟城离首都那么远呢？回一个家就要用上整4-5个小时，就算坐飞机也要3个小时啊，谁叫机场建得那么远！不过，这次为了老豆生日，我还是决定坐飞机回一趟，一来亚航机票还算在我可以接受的价钱，二来我可不想一会到槟城整个骨头就散了，坐巴士很累的，虽然Nice Coach已经算比其他巴士好坐很多了....还好我有一位好Darling愿意载我去机场和陪我在机场等进闸~

回归正题，老豆牛一，妈妈选了吃盆菜，因为老豆说随便，叫我们自己决定要吃啥。所以，姐就在仙景楼定了一桌，我们吃盆菜去咯！还好有回家，不然就错过了这么好料又好吃的盆菜咯！

 

这间仙景楼就是我们吃盆菜的地方咯，就在新世界，New World Park~ 其实会选这间吃盆菜都是全靠姐的努力，因为是她打电话去询问几间餐馆后才决定的，很好料但价钱也可接受，是物有所值的。

Eaton Viet Thai @ Tg Bunga

 

It was a Sunday night, after swimming I and my mum went to Tanjung Bunga, somewhere near Pearl Hill there to have a set of Thaifood meal. The restaurant Eaton Viet Thai is suppose to be a housing but the owner use their terrace house as a restaurant to serve both Thaifood and Vietnamese food.

Tanjung Bunga is not a place that near my house, therefore we seldom go there to dine unless the restaurants have gained public praise  which are really worth to try or there is any special event ahead.

This day I and mum came here due to the meal voucher purchased from Milkadeal, again the online deal. Actually before the day, we had arrived this place 1 time, it was in the afternoon but the shop did not open. Also, I've made many many calls for whole day beforehand to make reservation as per requested in the voucher but nobody pick up. I was so scare that being cheated in the online deal since the shop seemed do not open at all. Until the night only they picked up and I success to make reservation for the next day lunch time. Yet, when we reached the place, they did not open the shop and we've waited for 1 hour more. OMG, again we called up and the people said they did not receive any reservation (what the hell?!) and claimed that their kitchen are closed in the noon time due to renovation. So, I made another reservation on Sunday night, hoping weekend night might have more people, so they will open.

Honestly, because of this restaurant, I've really lose confident on online deal. But this may be a good thing, because for the next time whenever I wish to purchase the voucher, I will take this as a lesson and survey the shop and their reviews properly first.

My 23rd #2 @ Daorae Korean BBQ, Bayan Point

About 4 days after my 1st celebration, now came the 2nd celebration of my birthday with my beloved family. I seldom went to Korean restaurant but actually I am so in love with Korean cuisine due to their unique spiciness and sourish flavor which tie my appetite very well. Since sister asked me to choose whatever I like to eat, so I decided to pay Daorae Korean BBQ Restaurant a visit, although the youngers may not feel happy with my decision (children dislike spicy~), hehe! Daorae Korean BBQ Restaurant is located at Bayan point, easily seen because it is near to the biggest roundabout in Bayan Lepas and Penang.

Because there was 9 of us, so we request for a private room, this might not be a good choice because it is difficult to call for waiter, resulting bad service we got.

Eastern Wishes Cafe @ i-Avenue

Every Sunday is my family day, this is the day when my sister's small family will dine together with us. Not quite sure when was it already but it was the day my little niece had a performance at night time, thus my sister suggest to have lunch nearby their house instead of going to Georgetown so that her daughter can rest well and prepare for the night. Therefore, we came to Eastern Wishes Cafe, located at i-Avenue, Sg Nibong of Penang island. 

Eastern Wishes Cafe is a fusion restaurant that serves both Nanyang and Thai style cuisine. I am not quite sure how Nanyang style should be like, I guess it is something similar with Nyonya style? Spicy, sour and taste so strong.

This restaurant is located same row with the JPJ office, very easy to be found~

It is a simple home-cooked style restaurant, offering variety of Nanyang and Thai cuisine, they do the delivery service as well!

While waiting for our food after we made the order, I like to snapshot my little niece, at this time I am not sure why she was being whiny and did not want to look at my camera, because she used to love posing always.

Special Black Pepper Crispy Squid - RM15

A little bit different from the usual squid we had, this is so crispy until the texture is like prawn with shell, the black pepper sauce is also not quite similar with the ordinary one, this one is a little bit more like the sweet soya sauce, not that spicy and pungent as the usual black pepper sauce. I love this one!

Various Beans in Sambal - RM8

Oh this one is nice, so flavorful and it has all my favorite beans out there, especially the stink bean petai!

Hakka Namju Pork - RM15

This is also very nice, the meat has fully absorbed the yummy Namju (red fermented beancurd) until the meat is so juicy and luscious. It gains extra bonus for the deeply fried crispy out skin!

Seaweed soup - RM7

This is quite a small bowl but the fillings are great, fulled with lotsa fish balls, seaweed, veggie, fish cakes and eggs!

Fried Brinjal - RM10

I am not so loving with the eggplant, due to its strange texture. But this plate is okay to me, because the eggplant is not that weirdly soft as I thought.

Lemon Steam Red Snapper - RM35

I have to admit this one is great because I love salty-sour food so much, not very like the ordinary Teochew steam, but it is much sourer and flavorous.

Belacan Chicken Wing - RM9

This is an all-time-favorite, who doesn't love it? The chicken wings are fried until crispy outside, yet inside is still juicy and soft, and don't be doubtful, even its bone has the aroma of belacan! Can you imagine how great they marinated the chicken wing until the bone has the flavor?

Dessert time! ABC - RM4.20

This is nothing can be complained, the ice-cream is my favorite vanilla flavor, while the red beans and Atap seed are so soft~

 

Chendol - RM2.80

For me this is just so so and nothing's special, may be I just dislike Chendol and I think it just tastes like the outside ordinary hawker stall Chendol

New experience with Starcruise - Day2

Despite I slept late in the day before as I accompanied mum in casino, I still forced myself to wake up in the early 6.30am to have a good sunrise view. I just simply love the vast ocean and the lovely sunrise floats in line with the sea. Oh, I was not only the romantic person in the ship, while there was quite a number of people lay on the deck chair lifted up their eyes for the great view from sea. Or maybe they were just out from casino to take a fresh breath instead?

New experience with Starcruise - Day1

I was never into Star cruises journey and this is my first time. Thanks dad for giving me such a wonderful experience when I was back for holiday in the past May. Initially we had decided to go for Penang-Krabi-Phuket-Penang trip but it was fully booked due to the school holiday. No choice, we only had the second alternative to go, cruise within Penang region, not sure where it rode, I guess to the sea in the middle of Penang island and Butterworth? No idea because there was not even a landmark I could see in the wide and broad sea! It was just a short 2D1N journey, mainly for those who eager for gambling, but definitely not me, I was only there to have my first ever experience in big ship and enjoy for food, show and scenery!

美食之家Maxim Dim Sum @ Farlim

港式点心一直都是我的心头好，只可惜，我在KL并不常吃，因为KL点心的价格真的不怎么便宜，而且我吃点心都会叫好多笼才吃得饱的叻~

回到槟城就不一样啦，每一次妈咪爸比送我去搭长途巴士时都会先带我去吃港式点心早餐，这种习惯已经慢慢变成我们的“传统”了~我很喜欢槟城的点心，家乡的食物就是特别不一样，总觉得虾较新鲜，食物更合我口味，最重要是价廉物美~

美食之家，是一家卖美味点心的餐馆，除了点心，他们也提供各类煮炒服务，除了各式大排档菜肴，还有许多面食和饭类供大家选择。以前我们都是去到Sg. Nibong那边吃的，每次都高朋满座，要找个位子还真的不简单啊~ 现在美食之家终于在我家附近开了一间分行，真是太好了，地点就在发林，和大草场的篮球场同一排~ Update: 美食之家在发林的分行已搬到Farlim Kuta Bali，Permata游泳池那里了

如果是假日的话，要早点到哦，不然很难找到位置~

Mum's Birthday @ Azuma

June is always a busy month for celebration, despite Father's day and darling's birthday, there is also a big day for mum, Yeah it was her birthday! In Chinese tradition, every birthday star ought to eat Mee-suah which signifies longevity. So, in her lunar birthday, I and daddy brought her to eat Mee-suah.

 

Happy birthday to you mum! Love to see you and daddy always be so cherish!
