Marché @ The Curve

Marché (Pronounced as Mar-Shay) is located at The Curve with a very obvious trademark: the green Cow. Every time passing through The Curve, Marché is like so mysterious to me and I was very curious what is it actually. Glancing through the main door, I saw many stalls inside, with lotsa raw and uncooked materials putting in front of the stall, and so many people crossing each other, and they looked so busy! I thought it was buffet initially. But it is totally the other way round, everything inside costs you a value, and you pay for what you eat.

Marché is a market concept restaurant, with 12 food stations available, and it has several dining area with different themes. Everything you eat is cooked upon your request, except for soup, salad and some bakeries. There is no menu, you have to walk around to different food stations and hunt for food. The food choices and its price are wrote in blackboard and hang on top of the stall. All guests were given a market passport, whenever you order food they will give you a stamp on your market passport. This is quite a good way to dine in, because it is so easy to pay in AA style. The only weakness is the stamp is not come with the price of your order, you will indeed be surprised when you bring this market passport to the cashier, because the environment inside giving you a buffet style feeling~

Never worried about your table when you are shopping for food because it is reserved!
Of course, the "Free Seat" is on the other side

DSC_0026
The market passport will be given to each head, regardless of your age (even children)
Never lose this because RM200 will be fined!

This represents how much we had eaten, well, we like food sharing

DSC_0002
This mushroom soup (RM7) had drawn my attention since I first entered
I love its color, simply tell me it is irresistible

DSC_0005
wow, so much creamy and thick~
with strong fragrance of mushroom, making it so velvety
Blended mushroom bits accompanied with extra servings of oven-baked bread cubes simply gives me perfect combination of taste, just a spoonful will right away penetrate your mouth cavity with extensive aroma and taste

DSC_0001
Fritto Calamari (RM14.50), accompanied with garden salad
Not quite satisfied because the batter is separated from the calamari itself when consumed
However the portion is really huge
Given a small bowl for dressing, I chose Tartar Yogurt
The yellow color is their homemade mayonnaise
Love homemade mayonnaise much than tartar yogurt, because the latter one is quite tasteless and more sour

DSC_0004
Can't imagine how big portion the calamari is? Here I showed you
I was actually full after eaten both of these, although it is shared
But I still wanna hunt for other food, as I said, the environment had misled me that I was eating buffet

DSC_0007
the Strawberry grilled chicken breast (RM15.50), accompanied with mushroom sauce
taste like satay, but don't feel any strawberry taste with it

DSC_0009
Grilled half chicken (RM17.50), accompanied with black pepper sauce
The meat is juicy and tender, but not with strong flavor
the black pepper sauce is nothing different from the mushroom sauce, they tasted alike!

DSC_0008
the complimentary teh tarik for member
Yeah, we joined as member on the spot

Noticed the candle? they were preparing for Earth hour celebration
Our last picture with light

Earth hour started!

DSC_0019
Suddenly became so romantic~

DSC_0018
During the Earth hour, all watermelon juice is half price (4.90)!
Watermelon juice is our last order, we cant fit in any cakes, dessert, and my Rosti anymore, bloody full!

DSC_0031
With their trademark

DSC_0036
Outside of the restaurant, still celebrating Earth hour

DSC_0034
Still many people queuing outside when we left and it was 9pm already!

The total bill was only RM49.94, why? Because it was member's day
Everything is with 30% discount!

Papa John's Pizza

Any day with a pizza is a good good day. Today we had something from Papa John's~ Got a super saver voucher from the leaflet: one 9" pizza, one potato wedges and one breadsticks for RM20, only for delivery and take out. This offer valid only until 31 March 2011, well, left not much days, so we opted it tonight. This is my third time to have Papa John's pizza, not a bad choice indeed.

DSC_0001
The potato wedges, nothing special to talk about

DSC_0003
I heart their breadsticks, with some indescribable fragrance, perhaps from pitfire?

DSC_0005
I even heart their butter, creamy yet not giving me a greasy feel, fantastic~

DSC_0006
Fisherman's Catch
It is full with tuna fish flakes and prawns within
I guess the cheese is Parmesan perhaps? Not too salty until giving me a surfeited feel
Instead, I enjoy these pizzas, it couldn't give me any guilty feel, *evil grin*

Le midi @ Bangsar Shopping Center

Aunty Yvonne and my mum were heading south to KL 1 week ago to visit and had a short break with my cousin. The first night they reached KL, my very kind and generous cousin treated us to le midi which located in BSC for her son's sake. As a food lover, this place is entirely not up to my liking. As a reckoner, I would not come again to this place unless I have extra moola to spurge on. However, if you are looking for somewhere which provides good service and excellent environment, this should be a great choice. Quiet, romantic and cozy atmosphere, with big french windows that give you excellent view of KLCC, quite a better place for couples, but definitely not me. Well, honestly, I felt quite stressful dining here, the captain kept on serving and talking to you, of course introducing you some high quality and fancy dishes when you were browsing the menu.

20110313_014
le midi, at BSC

20110313_006
Very special light-changing round shape aquarium, with jelly fish inside

20110313_001
My two nephews

20110313_003
Prior to the appetizer, they served plain bun/wholemeal bun, together with salted butter and basil tomato dipping sauce
The bun is serving warm, soft and fluffy texture, I would say the bun is better than the main course :p
The waiter will offer you for more buns after you had finished the first. Of course, I took two. No doubt, I am a bread lover

20110313_002
each person entitled a basil tomato dipping sauce, and the salted butter of course is great too

20110313_007
The appetizer, mix platter RM138
A combination of smoked salmon, goat cheese, bacon, cod fish, leave-wrap rice & etc.
This is recommended by the captain, for sharing.
Nothing to complain on this, because it actually tastes quite perfectly.

20110313_012
The lobster spaghetti, RM88
This is also recommended by the captain and my nephew decided to give it a try
Don't be misled by the huge lobster shell, it is an empty one actually, mainly for decoration purpose
I did not try this at all, but heard from my nephew that it is quite lack of flavor, perhaps the cheese flakes are missing, which they gave it afterward

Since this is a treat from my cousin, of course we chose the cheapest main course available from the menu

20110313_009
Mum's Duck confit RM68
Duck confit flambe with Provencal brandy, and accompanied by a potato gratin and ratatouille
Well, taste not bad, but a little bit too salty

20110313_008
Mine Moroccan chicken-RM68
Moroccan organic chicken tagine with piquant lemon confit and seasonal vegetables
I guess this is turkey instead of chicken because the leg is so huge and the meat is quite hard to chew. Serving with couscous-the very disgusting dish I've ever had. I hate couscous, weird texture and taste

20110313_013
Darling's seabass-RM68
Mediterranean grilled seabass served with roasted vegetables
Well, the seabass is fresh, but for me it tastes quite ordinary

Not manage to capture all food photos, but the total bill for all foods are RM990++ (Included tax)
Wow! I think this is a little bit overpriced, because I don't think the food worth this price.
My cousin also said eat KFC is even better :p

20110313_004
A picture of me and my mum

Ogawa ezThrive

DSC_0001
Ogawa ezThrive

Ogawa is having a great deal for this new body shaping product-Ogawa ezThrive~ This machine is sold at RM2588, coming with the mobile seat XE as a free gift. There is a choice for you whether you can choose the mobile seat or the exercise bike. Once upon a time I was pondering to choose this kind of shaking machine or the running machine. At the end I come out with this one because: I found this ezThrive is useful for the slacker as you just need to stand or sit on the machine. Also, the running machine is so space-consuming. Several poses are taught in the manual book, depending on which part of your fat you wish to lose. The machine has calories lost display in the panel as well, which is a very good indicator for people to monitor the calories lost from the activity. I love this machine very much, because I can feel it is really working for my body. How? Well, whenever I hike, usually my leg will feel itchy due to blood circulation. 5 minutes testing on this machine during a roadshow event gave me this itchy feeling as well. Thus, I feel that it should be more useful than those slimming belt, which I abandoned after few months usage due to zero result.

Thanks to Darling for buying me such a wonderful gift. I can save up my time, petrol and energy from going outdoor exercising. I wish I can at least burn off 100 calories each day to compensate you. :p

The promotion will be ended on 31st of March, so hurry up if you planned to buy one! The salesperson claimed that after March, perhaps the price will be raised until 3k something, or no more free gift.

DSC_0002
It has a combined function of oscillating and vibrating motion, which works simultaneously to penetrate and break the stubborn fat in your body

DSC_0004
This is the free gift comes together with the ezThrive. It is a mobility massage cushion that you can put on your car seat or just simply on your sofa.

DSC_0001 (2)
Well, we are lucky to have a very kind promoter that gave us another free gifts
the Air freshener, and also the aroma essence that worth RM50

Yeah! So Happy, but, I have no excuse to be fat girl anymore. :(
Anyway, thanks to Darling again!
