Shin Chon @ Ampang Putra Residensi

Ampang has an area full with Korean and Korean-related restaurant, shop, convenient store and etc., which is famously known as Korean village. I love so much Korean culture and also their food, and have waited long to visit once.

This day, we used our online purchased deal from everyday living social to enjoy a Korean stew from Shin Chon, this is the very first time I stepped into Ampang Korean village and tried out the famous Korean military steamboat that always seen in TV.

Shin Chon is located at Ampang Putra Residensi, a place that you will find yourself like immersed in Korea, as almost all shops' fascia are written in Korean words, and you will find many Korean living here!

Shin Chon is one of the many Korean restaurants in Ampang Putra Residensi, making it not so significant and outstanding. The shop is not crowded at all when the time we visited, making us wonder whether the food here is nice, luckily their food is really not bad at all!

They have a simple menu and mainly sell stewing dishes like military soup and chicken galbi

We were placed in a fenced area to enjoy the moment of two

Free banchan (side dishes) along with the deal, all taste good!

Seaweed and cucumber soup served in cold, kinda weird, but taste okay

Pajeon was given free too! How generous they are compared to other Korean restaurants because I have never got a free Pajeon from any other Korean restaurants

Our traditional seoul military soup, full with sausages, ham, macaroni, tofu, rice cake, pork, baked bean, mushroom, vegetable and glass noodle. All ingredients were put into a big deep plate, together with the Korean chili paste gochujang, then hot water is poured and everything was mixed and brought to boil.

The deal came with a Ramen noodle set and 2 bowls of white rice set as well

Even the steamboat stove is from Korea!

We have our Seoul Military Soup ready now and all are served by their staff, we just wait and eat~

Now I just knew their instant noodles are called Ramen noodles! However, I do enjoy eating their instant noodles, so springy! So as their glass noodles~

I love hot and spicy! I love Korean! But this bowl is really spicy, even someone like me who really can eat spicy things do feel the hot too! Luckily they prepared us a big jug of ice water for free~ Although it is spicy, it is yummy!

Their white rice, I love the sticky texture and its aroma~ Just so different with ours usual rice

Flooded my rice with Korean authentic spicy soup and all yummy ingredients, I just cannot resist more~ Don't feel weird to eat rice cake or macaroni with rice, it is just awesome!

We were really so full that day with all the banchan and generous amount of ingredients, ramen, and rice (so much carbohydrate taken)! Actually we should be enough without the rice, but the soup is just too hot and delicious until we have to finish together with the rice. What a great enjoyment and worthy meal, as all this just cost us RM25 while the original price should be RM50. Even paying RM50 for a meal of two like this, I still feel it worth. For the next time if I have a chance, I would try their Cheese military soup, I guess it would be great as I am a cheese maniac!

After the meal, we strolled around and find this Korean supermarket, it is quite interesting to see something fresh and new here! They do sell Korean local stall food too! We bought ourselves Korean soy milk here, really thick and yummy!
