Klebang in Melaka has a stall that sell wonderful coconut shake, too bad my Darling who is a Malaccan did not discover it until he met me, a Penangite, to introduce him the place. Actually I knew this place is because I read some blog posts on this coconut shake from a blogger, thanks her for such a good sharing. I am sure many people had drunk coconut drink with fresh flesh inside, but this is really my first time to drink this coconut shake ever. Although it is just a small stall that sell varieties of coconut drink and some kuih-muih (bite-sized snack), the place is always full with folks. Never regret to come this place even though the place is a bit far from Darling's house.
The stall is located at the roadside that next to Caltex petrol station, at the entrance to Lorong Kg Bahagia. You can easily see the stall when you travel along to Pantai Klebang, because there are many cars parked over there, when you suddenly see crowded of cars then you can easily notice the stall already
Wow, when we arrived the time is not lunch time, still the place is flooded with people~
It is hard to get a table although there are about 20 tables over, many people come here for tea time~ Ya not only their drinks are good, their food is quite nice too~
Many people queue up for coconut-shake takeaway as well~
Finally our coconut shake (RM2) comes , if you don't like this kind of milkshake drink, you can order ordinary coconut fresh juice with flesh as well, also the choice is on you whether to add the vanilla ice cream
The coconut juice is blend together with coconut flesh, ice, vanilla ice cream and sugar syrup, adding a vanilla ice cream on top is simply too good~ Now I just noticed vanilla ice cream can match so well with coconut!
I love this because it is not too sweet, but the fragrance of coconut is so strong and still we can have bits of coconut flesh in every sip, highly recommended!
They also serve many types of Malay kuih-muih, we took poh-piah (very crunchy), curry potato puff and spicy shredded coconut puff (the puff skin is fried until very crunchy, yet the filling is just so-so), banana fritter (Kuih kodok which is in dark color and ball shape, this is really good, outside is crispy yet inside is so soft, with strong aroma of banana), and shredded coconut fritter (nothing to complain but not a memorable one)
The puff that wrapped spicy shredded coconut inside
They also have fried bihun, not bad but with a hint of wasabi flavor
Fried mee, I don't quite like because the smell of lye-water is too strong from the yellow noodles
Nasi Lemak, this is a must-take, the chili sambal is sweet but not too spicy, both the rice and sambal are aromatic, it is simple and good that only with the sambal I can finish the rice without any additional side ingredients
Turmeric glutinous rice with curry, the curry flavor is quite good but just it is a bit spicier, the glutinous rice is so aromatic as well~
The Nasi Lemak is too nice already and we took one more. Thinking to test all their kuih-muih so take another glutinous rice snack again (kuih pulut), the glutinous rice is cooked with coconut milk and then wrapped some spicy shredded coconut together, not bad but the curry shredded coconut is kinda lack of flavor for me
