My 24th Birthday

Happy belated birthday to myself! This is an outdated post as my birthday was almost a week ago. Really should smack myself for laziness, I just don't feel to do anything these days, lazy to blog, lazy to do work, lazy to hang out even, I just love to stay at home and play computer game for whole day. Please God, help me to stop addicting to those games, I have tonnes of work to be loaded.

Although birthday seems not really that important as growing older, I am still happy those important persons come celebrate for me. Thanks Darling, Mum and Dad for giving me such a wonderful moment, and of course Uncle Lim for giving us free room in Genting. Thanks again for wishes from buddies, not to forget to specially mention about Azi, really surprised when get to know she still remember my birthday and her touching post. She is an amazing girl and because of she, I got many impressive and enjoyable memories in my matriculation life.

Last weekend parents come to KL and we direct drove up to Genting after fetching them. This time my Genting trip is a gamble trip because all my companions are addicted gamblers. Their spirit had successfully influenced me and I made myself have quite a lot of fun in casino. Since we knew Chin Swee temple had a big change after many years parents' visit, so we dropped by there a while. Also, to let my parents pray hard hard before enter casino for tough battleship.

After the Chin Swee Temple visiting, we got up to Genting and checked in. Then it is almost dinner time, but dad was too enthusiasm in donating money (luckily in the end Uncle Lim donated to him back), so we went in to casino first, then Coffee Terrace for buffet dinner. Too bad the restaurant was closed for private event, so we went to Hou Yau Kee Express for delicious roast meat. I remembered the food was not that nice years ago (when I was still in kindergarten age) but this time we had a really good and yummy dinner. We were too hungry and forgot to snap any photo, but Hou Yau Kee has successfully grabbed my appetite and I guess I will make a compulsory visit for next time. Guess what, four of us ate 2 plates of Wantan Mee with Char Siu, 1 plate of combo mix rice (Char Siu and Siu Yuk), 1 plate of roast duck rice, 1 plate of salt baked chicken rice and 1 plate of stir-fried veggies costed us about hundred bucks. WOw! Luckily the food is good if not I will really get mad.

The next day, we proceeded to Coffee Terrace again for buffet lunch. To be honest, I personally think that buffet lunch taste better than buffet dinner in Coffee Terrace, although only dinner serves sashimi, I wonder the chef there has shift too? Or just simply because I were in merrier mood when dine with my parents?

Many different counters here, including local favorite, Nyonya, Chinese, Western, Japanese, Indian and desserts

Food from local favorite counter, I love the braised egg but the chicken feet was too hard, the century egg porridge was awesome! 

Food from Nyonya counter, Poh Piah and satay tastes good, just I hate the coriander in steam Poh Piah, the fried chicken, yam rice and nyonya style curry fish all taste equally good except the squid, cooked too long already and the sauce doesn't taste well too

Something from Japanese and Western counter, I love the potato and leek soup! The fried fish fillet and squid rings taste good and not oily too, and I ate a lot of Takoyaki! 

Something for dessert, don't forget to treat yourself a cup of tea when enjoying those lovely yummy cakes, I shouldn't have Teh Tarik because the tea was too sweet to match with the dessert, but Honey green tea or Hot Boh Tea! 

The three mini cups dessert were too sweet and creamy for us, I don't quite like them; but I love their fruits, all are sweet and fresh, I even like for not giving us simple common fruits like apple and orange, but peach, pear, lychee, banana and longan~ 

The buffet lunch session starts from 12pm to 2.30pm, and we sit exactly 2 hours and 30 minutes at there, slowly enjoy the food and chit-chatting, what a precious time that spent with my lovely one!

After the lunch, I accompanied mum and darling to casino again, then back to room for a short nap and bath, and came to the highlight of this trip: FREEZE (a live magic show on ice)~ 

For those who are interested ought to be quick, the show is only till 13 August 2012

We are so much punctual, be there at exact 8.30pm while the show starts at 9pm

The stage with ice skating platform, we were having our seats in PS1, have considered to buy the VIP seats after reading so much good reviews and recommendations from other blogger, but since Genting is doing promotion to members that they only need 1GP + RM2 for a PS1 ticket, so we all trade in our GP and only a total of RM8 for this show, so much worth!

Then it is time for celebration, I chose myself an ice cream cake since I never had any before, and thanks dad for it! Although a small cake like this costs us RM60 something, but I found it really worth because it tastes awesome!

The next day, after sending parents to bus terminal, I and darling had second round of celebration again. Since Redbox is offering me free head charge on birthday, and I also have some cash voucher to be used before August, we headed to Greenbox for buffet dinner celebration. 

Food was averagely nice except the spaghetti, taste weird and I guess the noodle is spoilt

We had an enjoyable and relaxing night at Greenbox, slowly enjoyed our dinner while watching many music videos of our idols. Now I noticed going to karaoke not necessary for singing, but watching pop star music video can be equally enjoyable

Got myself a free Red velvet cupcake with cream cheese from CupcakeChic! Now I understand why so many people crazy with cupcake, they really taste awesome and look adorable! I started to in love with cupcake already~

That's end of my 24th birthday entry, basically it is simple and all about food. Wishing my family, darling and darling's family, friends all stay in bliss and healthy, and I could pass my Master degree successfully by my next birthday!
