I Love U Shabu-Shabu @ Puchong

It was 28 October 2010, the date I submitted my plant design 2nd draft. This plant design is really so killing. I was spending two semester in completing this assignment yet when come to the date of submission, I was still need to burn midnight oil in completing it. The night after submitting the killer, I and darling plan to hunt for nice food again to reward myself! Here we came to "I Love U Shabu-shabu" in Puchong Jaya. This place is very easy to find, it is located at the shoplots next to IOI mall. When you enter the carpark of IOI mall, you are definitely able to see it. This place offers both buffet style steamboat and dim sum.

If your vehicle is parked in IOI mall, RM1 is discounted for you. An adult is charged RM26.80. Not much photos are taken as we are too hungry already.

The places offers:
1) Some ready-to-eat dishes such as sausage, chicken wing, fried mushroom, salads, fried mee, fried rice etc.
2) BBQ service where you can pick your seafood and some marinated meats to let the workers bbq it for you.
3) Dim Sum

Four types of soups are available which are:
1) Herbal
2) Tomyam
3) Clear chicken soup
4) ABC soup
Herbal is quite weird and not so suitable for seafood. Definitely don't go for clear chicken soup and ABC soup. They are tasteless! ABC soup is even worse as too much of onions are added making all the ingredients in the soup become tasteless. However, you can opt to change the soup base. So, we tried out all 4 types of soup base and made a conclusion that Tomyam is the best among four. Yet the Tomyam base taste a bit weird and quite different from the Tomyam soup I ever tried.

Part of our food

Their chicken wings are really nice! Yummy!

They serve quite wide variety of seafood. This clam is huge and fresh.

I like this Shabu only for the chicken wing. I would still prefer the Shabu I went last time in Bandar Puteri Puchong. Although they just offer a kind of soup, but it really taste better than this one. I am still very fancy with their special home-made sauce.

Ah Tuan Ee @ The Curve

Ah Tuan Ee's Place, is famous for its Nyonya delights. During our 1025 anniversary, I was really busy with tons of workload. However, darling still insisted to bring me out for a better meal during the weekend to release some stress. Here we came for ah Tuan ee's place~ Darling came this place before with his Australian CFO and colleagues as welcoming feast. The mat salleh quite loves this place, so I think this would be a good place for me to try out as well. I love darling because he will always think about me whenever he sees something fun or had something good. Just as this time, he would think to bring me to this place when he had a good time with his colleague here. http://www.emocutez.com

We like snapshooting~

The environment, quite crowded and kinda hot

Sambal Sotong (Small) - RM26.80
This was awesome! A little bit sweety and the sambal sauce is so stimulative~

Gulai Tumis Fish (Small) - RM20.80
This was quite so-so to me. It is good but it is like lack of something for me. The Dont-Know-What thing is missing.. However, after adding some sambal from "sambal sotong" to the gulai, it becomes perfect taste to me.

Pandan Chicken (Small) - RM17.80
Not the same like the ordinary Pandan Chicken from other ordinary Nyonya restaurant at which they tend to wrap the chicken by Pandan leaves. This chicken was fulled with Pandan fragrance and we guess they use the Pandan juice to marinate the chicken. Good!

Blog Template

Finishing School

一回来的第一个星期是oil and gas quiz 2,再来就是bioethanol plant design 1st draft submission咯,过后就一起来两个test paper,再加oil and gas quiz 3, 然后就final year project proposal submission, 现在就是要交 bioethanol plant design 2nd draft 的时候啦~

Kyung Joo @ Midvalley

My friend -Fishie- said I always go eat ho liao, what I can say is.. She is right! The only activity I can do in KL is to find good food, watch a good movie, and shopping. Other than that, I can only spend my leisure time in front of lappy to blog or watch PPS.

This time (15 Oct 2010) I and darling go hunt for good food again. It is a Korean restaurant in Midvalley called Kyung Joo, just beside the Carls Jr and same floor with the GSC cinema. Darling knew I am quite fancy with Korean food, and he purposely brought me here. I love sour, spicy and salty food, just as what they served!

This is the place

The environment

They will send up 6 plates of appetizers for a table, there are Kimchi, ikan bilis, beansprout, kangkung, mashed potato, and fu-yong-egg slices. Those dishes are awesome!

We tried out a Special Barbeque Chicken Set,
which completed with a big bowl of seafood bean paste soup - RM35.90

The barbeque chicken is very soft and juicy, special sauce make it perfect to the max! The bean paste soup taste like miso soup that we usually had, but a little bit spicier. They suits my taste very much! We did not order the grill meat which is the common dish in Korean restaurant as the fresh meat all are quite costly, which is about Rm30-40 per plate of meat. Also, the A La Carte menu is quite pricey too. Thus, a set of 2 dishes which serves 2 persons became our choice.

The Korean rice, it is RM5 per bowl~!
It makes me don't even wanna drop a grain :p
But it is included in our set menu

My Korean Green Tea - RM3.50
It has a strong taste of rice grain, I love it as it gives a taste of healthy to me~

Our extra order KimChee Jeon - RM18.90

Kimchee Jeon: Kimchee is fried with other vegetables in pancake form, it is crispy and gives special taste when dip with the sauce. A must-order dish whenever I head to Korean restaurant as I already fall in love with Kimchee. Whenever I saw Kimchee fried rice, Kimchee fried mee, Kimchee instant noodle, Kimchee this Kimchee that I will sure order, I just purely love their sour and spicy taste!

The sweets after the bill :) It is red ginseng candy, not that bitter as I thought, and I love it

The next day, which is today, we went chilis again :)

I ordered Monterey Chicken-RM26.95
Chicken breast grilled with BBQ sauce and top beef bacon and cheese, served with mashed potato and boiled brocolli. Only one word to describe it: Perfect!

Darling's Cheddar Oldtimer - RM19.45. He will never bored with this burger
It's his dish whenever he come to chilis.

Darling

Pork Knuckle @ Bavarian Bierhaus

Fuhhhh.. Finally my two tests and one quiz is over, it has been a really busy month for October as all assignments, tests and quizzes, final year project proposal and plant design 1st and 2nd draft are all squeezed in October! Of course there is other tiny assignments (if compared to above) as well. Although I am still busy for school works at the following weeks, I still wish to steal out some little time to blog about memorable events on October.

Bavarian Bierhaus, located at The Curve, is famous for its German pork knuckle and huge sausages. Of course as a tam-chiak couple, I and darling couldn't find any reason to miss out this!

Outside the restaurant, there is a water fountain

The environment

History of Bavarian

We had made a survey prior to our dating to this restaurant, conclusion was that the portion of dish is really really huge and one plate of pork knuckle can be shared up by 2-3 persons. Normally a table of 6 will share up 2-3 plates of their different signature dish, however, we are only 2 persons, thus we cant try out the knuckle and sausages at the same time. Yet they understand our desire and problem! There is a combo knuckle, completed with German sausages, fried pork knuckle, and ham. The combo knuckle has only one choice which is fried one, I would love to try other knuckle plate such as grilled honey knuckle next time, I bet it would be nicer, as eating too much of fried stuff will make me feel "jelak"~

Our combo knuckle set - RM70.00
The side dishes: Potato and sour cabbage. Potato is very good while sour cabbage taste weird at first, but when u feel sicken of the fried fatty knuckle, it became very well-taste! German sausage is so juicy while the ham is so thick and not ordinary taste of supermarket ham that usually had.

It looks small for the picture above? And you will know how big it is now!

Horrible right? See also full already :p

The combo is served with this special gravy

Msia Pork knuckle :p still lose to German one

Finally finished off~ Bone also very big!

Combo knuckle - RM70
Fresh Lemonade - RM13.90
Ice Lemon Tea - RM7
Our total bill included taxes : RM104.55
